holiday in scotland with my dog

You’d like to travel to beautiful corners of the UK with your dog – but not sure where to go?

Meet
Lottie Gross author of Dog-Friendly Weekends: 50 breaks in Britain for you and your dog.

Lottie explains “I've spent the last few years doing significant amounts of travel with my dog and have found a dearth of useful, practical and inspirational content that goes beyond hotels and pubs. I was frustrated by the lack of coherent information from trusted sources for travelling dog owners, so I pitched this guide to Bradt and here we are. I'll be hitting the road with my dog, Arty, to seek out the very best places to take your dog on holiday.”

The book covers city breaks, beach breaks, rural adventures and small town explorations.

Lottie stayed with us recently in Brock and gave us plenty of advice for dog owners. For example the Schenbothies don’t have an enclosed dog area so Lottie suggested fixing a metal loop to the build with a provided 5m leash. This means that guests can relax by the firepit or balcony and have their dog securely near. Great idea! In the progress of being installed at Slackbrae . . .

Lottie is a professional travel writer with almost a decade in the industry with guidebook contributions and countless articles written for newspapers including The Telegraph, The Times, the i, The Independent and magazines from Nat Geo Traveller to woman&home. Take a look at Lottie’s website to see the list.

This book will soon become your most indispensable travel guide . . . available from Bradt Guides and other booksellers. Published May 2022.

Come and follow Lottie and Arty's Tour up to Castle Campbell in Dollar.
